Loading a cassette using the two-step procedure

Two Step Loading allows the device to continue picking from the other cassettes (if they have plates matching the active jobs) while you refill the cassette and update cassette information.

1. In Print Console, select Status mode and then the Cassettes tab.

2. Click the button that ejects the cassette.

   	Before you click it, the button appears gray.
   	After you click the eject button it flashes green while the device moves the cassette to the unload position.
   	The buttons for the other cassettes are unavailable while you are unloading or loading this cassette.
   	When the device has released the cassette, the button flashes blue (operator action required) and Print Console displays an icon indicating you can pull the cassette out of the device.

3. Pull the cassette out and refill it, using the procedure in the operator guide for the device.

   	When the cassette is pulled out, Print Console displays this icon.
   	While you are refilling the empty cassette, the eject button appears gray and the device can pick from any other cassette that has plates matching the active job.

4. When you are ready to push the cassette back into the device, click the eject button again.

   	After you click the eject button it flashes green while the device prepares for you to push the cassette back into the device.
   	When the button starts flashing blue (operator action required), Print Console displays an icon indicating you can push the cassette back into the device.

5. Push the cassette back into the device.

   	The button flashes green again while the device is moving the cassette back into place.
   	The button turns gray when the cassette is back in place, and you can update Print Console's information about what is in the cassette.

6. Edit the cassette information and press Apply. See Updating cassette plate type and plate counts.
   Note: You can edit cassette information at any time after you click the button that ejects the cassette.
