Description of plates in the cassette

The Cassettes tab displays the media (as defined in the Media Tool) assigned to this cassette:

When you click Edit to update the information about what is in the cassette, this area turns into a list of all the media configured for your device. Select one media from this list.

The number of plates in the cassette

Print Console provides both a numerical quantity and an icon showing quantity in relation to a designated numerical threshold.

The number to the right of the icon displays the number of plates in the cassette. Whenever the device picks a plate from this cassette, the number decreases by one.

When you press Edit to update the information about what is in the cassette, a box appears where you can type the number of plates that you have placed in the cassette or scroll to the appropriate number.

Note: If you are editing cassette quantity while the device is picking from the cassette, Print Console will display the quantity you have entered and ignore any changes made by the device.

The icon indicates whether the cassette is full, low on plates or empty. See Finding plate quantity for more information. When the cassette is offline, this icon does not appear.

  • Full—the plate count is above the Low quantity warning defined in the Cassette tool

  • Low—the plate count is below the Low quantity warning defined in the Cassette tool

  • Empty—the device cannot detect any plates
