Cassette Tab parameters in the Cassette tool

Load method

Determines the cassette-loading procedure. Your options are:

One Step Loading: One step loading requires you to complete the loading procedure before the Magnus VLF can use the MCU. The device cannot pick plates from any cassette while you refill the cassette and update cassette information.

Two Step Loading: Two step loading allows the device to continue picking from the other cassettes (if they have plates matching the active jobs) while you are loading the empty cassette and updating its cassette information.

Note: You can select a load method for a cassette only when the cassette is in the MCU and not in any stage of a loading process.

Low quantity warning

The Cassettes tab has an icon that warns you when the number of plates is below the number that appears in the Low quantity warning box. The default is 10. If you use this default, these icons appear when:

  • There are more than 10 plates in the cassette:

  • There are 1-10 plates in the cassette:

  • The device cannot detect any plates:

Reload quantity

Optional: If you do not want to use this feature, leave this field blank.

After you have reloaded a cassette, you must update Print Console's information about what is in the cassette. If you always reload a cassette with the same number of media, you can enter that number in Reload quantity.

Whenever you release this cassette, Print Console will automatically reset to that number. If desired, you can override the number before you click Apply.
