The Reinitialize button (or the Operation > Reinitialize menu option) reinitializes the device, causing it to revert to its default settings. Reinitializing:
Cancels any active jobs
Unloads plates from the device
Reboots the firmware, making the device revert to its start-up state
Does not affect the thermal imaging head
If you encounter an error condition that cannot be cleared by following the instructions in Print Console recovery messages, use the reinitialize operation as a way of clearing device errors.
Try reinitializing the firmware first. Reinitializing is faster than resetting.
If reinitializing does not work, use the Reset button. Resetting takes longer because it involves reinitializing both the device and the thermal imaging head.
