The Reset button (or the Operation > Reset the device menu option) reinitializes both the device and the thermal imaging head. Pressing Reset is the same as turning the output device off and then turning it on again. Resetting cancels any active jobs.
If you encounter an error condition that cannot be cleared by following the instructions in Print Console recovery messages, use the reset operation as a way of clearing device errors.
Try reinitializing the firmware first. Reinitializing is faster than resetting.
If reinitializing does not work, use the Reset button. Resetting takes longer because it involves reinitializing both the device and the thermal imaging head.
