The Unlock button releases the locks on the output device panels.
Use the Unlock button when you want to:
Access the interior of the output device to remove stuck media
Perform maintenance on the interior of the output device
When you click Unlock:
If there are active jobs, Print Console displays a message informing you that all active jobs will be cancelled and asking if you want to proceed
The button changes to the Lock button
Important: When you unlock panels, the interlock system halts all mechanical activity and removes power from the laser. It may take up to two minutes for the laser to warm up again after the panels are locked. You cannot image media while the laser is warming up.
Best practice: Before you unlock panels, take the workflow offline and wait for the device to finish and unload any jobs that have already started imaging.
