Older drives without Hall isolation boards have 5 wires plus a jumper connected to J3. J3-1 is +15 V relative to J3-5. These drives exist only on older 3244 machines.
Danger: J3-1 is referenced to main AC
power and may cause electric shock of more than 60 VAC relative to the fram ground.
Newer drives (on VLFs and newer 3244 machines) with the Hall Isolation Board have 7 wires plus a jumper connected to J3. These boards are fitted to newer ALC 1200 and ALC 200 drive amps. Power for the Hall effect sensors is provided by PS1 into J3-8 (5V) relative to J3-10. Power then goes out from J3-5, J3-1 (+) to the hall effect sensors in the motor.
