Description:

Makes the carriage search for the edge of the plate, without imaging the plate.

If the mode NVS parameter "edge" is set to 0, the carriage moves to where it would normally start seeking, but does not seek.

Always check the edge detection in the same mode as is being used for edge detection during a plot (this is the lowest mode # for the resolution being plotted, eg if plot is mode 5 and mode 5 is 3200 high res and mode 4 is 2400 high, then mode 4 is used for edge detect for all high res images from the w/s), First specifically change the diagnostic monitor mode using the "mode <N>" command, then do a plot edge.

NOTE: "mode" only affects the mode of diagnostic monitor commands (like plot, plot edge, etc). It has NO effect over workstation plots, and it does NOT display the mode of the currently executing workstation image.
