Command: plot plate

Description:

Directs a plot command to a specific plate. This is only applicable when there is more than one plate loaded onto the drum.

"plate 1" can be added to direct a plot to the first plate (nearest carriage home); or "plate 2" to direct the plot to the second plate.

When there are two plates on the drum, if this "plate n" is not specified, then the edge detect is done based on the current value of "state plate_loc d epos". If that value is 0, or if the edge cannot be found, then the firmware will search for the first plate. The plot will be done based on the most recent edge.

Applies To:

  • Trendsetter_NEWS

Syntax:

For each of these, the '2' could be replaced by a '1'.

  1. plot edge plate 2
  2. plot <pattern> [<length>] plate 2
  3. plot <pattern> [<length>] h plate 2
  4. plot <pattern> [<length>] synch plate 2
  5. plot <pattern> [<length>] focus <offset> <step_size> plate 2
  6. plot <pattern> [<length>] bmcurve <start> <increment> plate 2
