Command: stroke

Description:

Used to display and manipulate the amplitude of the output stroke. The amplitude of each pixel in the stroke is controlled by the Data DAC which drives the Data AOM.

This command deals with "samples" spaced evenly throughout the stroke, rather than specifying the amplitude of each and every pixel in the stroke. The pixel amplitudes in between the sample points are determined by drawing a straight line from sample to sample. The spacing of these samples should be no less than the spot size. Spot size is specified by the profile_bit_width NVS parameter in the DPE subsystem (set dpe pbw). The spacing is specified by the profile_bit_inc NVS parameter (set dpe pbi).

Normally, the sample amplitudes are set automatically by the stroke calibration procedure (see stroke cal). The sample amplitudes can also be set manually (see stroke init and stroke <sample>). Note that when the sample amplitudes are set manually, they do not take effect until the next spot, stroke, or plot command is issued.

Applies To:

  • Green

Syntax:

  1. stroke [(init [<value> [<slope>]])|(cal <sensitivity>)|corr|profile]
  2. stroke (<sample> [<value>])|config|verify|(sample <sample>)
