NVS Parameter: aldrv sr

Long Name:

slow_end_vel

Applies to:

  • ThermoFlex

  • Description:

The slow_end_vel parameter is used to set the final target velocity for the head stage stepper motor when it is running at SLOW speed. The motor ramps up from slow_start_vel to slow_end_vel at a rate specified by slow_accel and ramps back down using the same acceleration slope as it reaches its target position. If the value in slow_start_vel is larger than the value in slow_end_vel, then the stepper motor will start at the speed specified by the slow_end_vel and will not ramp up or down.

SLOW speed is used when zeroing the head for the currently loaded media. It is also the default speed for moveto commands.

The units used by this parameter are somewhat arbitrary. To convert them to actual steps per second, please consult the tables in the CY-545 data book.
