After a plate is lifted out of the bay and moved forward to the Y home position, it is lowered quickly so that the leading edge is near the load ramp sensor. This position is calculated as (queue_max_z - mscan_size of the plate on the picker) The upper load ramp sensor is then checked that it is still clear.
