If set to 1, "fast" edge detection is enabled. During a fast edge search, the
carriage remains stationary while the laser is swept over the stroke width. If
the edge is not found with this method, a conventional edge search is
automatically initiated.
The fast search method relies on plates from the same bay being loaded very
close to the same position each time. Edge search times can be decreased by a
few seconds if fast edge is successful, otherwise, edge search times can be
increased by a couple of seconds if fast edge is unsuccessful.
