NVS Parameter: carriage psteps

Long Name:

plot_accel_steps

Applies to:

  • All

  • Description:

This parameter helps define the profile used when the carriage is accelerating/decelerating to/from plot speed and when performing an asynchronous retrace. Normally not changed from default. If this parameter made too small, the carriage may stall. This parameter should be set to 32 for all products. If set too large, the carriage may not accelerate on time resulting in plot artifacts or, more likely, you may see one of two possible errors: With older firmware using carriage module V2.00 or less, the carriage error "Unexpected Error 0x22 (or 0x24)" may be seen. This error was replaced by "Carriage illegal dest. Current <n>, Dest <n> Stop Dist <n>" in carriage module 2.10. Too large means much over 32 for most products.
