NVS Parameter: media pcfg

Long Name:

punch_config

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto

  • Description:

The AutoPunch is an automatic punching unit built by Ternes Register System that sits between the Trendsetter AL unload table and the processor line.

The punch_config parameter specifies the punch configuration value associated with the media type. Making the punch configuration a media parameter allows the operator to change the punch configuration from the workstation.

Ternes will have configured the punch for different plate sizes, and will have defined a number between 1 and 19 for each configuration. This configuration number should be put into the punch_config parameter.

A different media type must be setup for each different punch configuration. The command "punch media <src> <dest>" has been added to facilitate the task of copying media and hdm parameters from one media type to another.

This parameter should be set to 0 for media types that are not to be punched.
