<Command>
<Name>drum smove &lt; position &gt; [ [ &lt; velocity &gt; ] | [ s ] ]</Name>
<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
This command moves the drum to a specified position using either an optionally
specified velocity (in RPM) or a default velocity. In contrast to a 'move'
command the 'smove' command waits for the time specified by the 'tsettle'
parameter before the move is complete. This allows the drum to settle out any
small oscillations that may occur at the end of a drum position trajectory.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
In addition to specifying drum velocity for the 'smove' command the drum may
also be moved to position in the shortest possible angular distance. If a
'shortest' move type is specified as well as velocity the sign of the velocity
(i.e. the direction of movement) may be automatically changed by the firmware
to ensure a 'shortest' move.

<Notes>
<DescriptionText><text>
An 'smove' command is slightly less time-efficient than a 'move' command
because it waits for drum oscillations to settle out at the end of the move
trajectory. This command is used in cases where a very stable drum position
is established before the command can be considered successful. The 'tsettle'
nvs parameter determines how long the drum waits for stability at the end of
an'smove' command.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
It is not necessary to stop a spinning drum before issuing an 'smove' command.
A stop will occur automatically and the drum will then proceed To the new
requested position.
