</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
laser on
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Turns on the laser.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
If the "head lsrmode" is set to 0 or 3 (original mode) then the power setpoint
is the value specified by the hdm NVS parameter "wpower" or "wpowern" depending
on the mode of operation (wide or narrow). When not running a work station
image then selection of wide or narrow depends on the setting of "hdp fnm".
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Starting with head version 1.56 (needs matching MPE code as well) if the
"head lsrmode" is set to 1 or 2 (exposure control mode) then the laser
power setpoint is the hdm NVS parameter "wpowere". Note that this value
is automatically set everytime a machine initiated stroke cal is done. The
calculated wpowere value depends on the "media sens" setting, the "drum
diam", the "hdm ds" setting and the "head swidth" setting.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Note that the new exposure mode does not use the obsolete "sys es" flag.
Instead, it is controlled instead by the "head lsrmode" parameter.
