</ServiceInformation>
<OperatorAction>
<DescriptionText><text>
This can occur if there is no chemical filter installed, it is installed upside
down, the chemical filter usage sensor is not programmed, or the data cable is
disconnected. Check for these conditions and if you are unable to resolve the
problem, contact your local Customer Service Representative.

<Cause>
Cause 1: The machine was not rebooted after chemical filter change.
Solution: When changing chemical filter, you must reboot the output device (turn off / on) to continue.
Simple software reset may not work!!!
</Cause>
<Cause>
Cause 2: The data cable has come unplugged from either the output device or the debris cabinet.
Solution: Check the data cable connections and reconnect as necessary. Reboot the output device
(turn off / on) to continue.
</Cause>
<Cause>
Cause 3: The chemical filter has been installed incorrectly.
Solution: Make sure that the chemical filter has been installed with the rubber gasket down so
it contacts the bottom of the canister. There should be a metal cylindrical guide that first
sits in the bottom of the pot to center the chemical filter. Try rotating the chemical filter
by 90 degrees to establish new contact points with the chemical filter I-button. Then a spacer
rests on the chemical filter, and the particulate filter sits on top of the spacer.
It should sit square to the canister and the foam gasket should protrude about 1/4" above the rim.
Reboot the output device (turn off / on) to continue.
</Cause>
<Cause>
Cause 4: The data cable to the UDRC-L electrical enclosure has come unplugged.
Solution: Unplug and reseat the cable connections on the LIONEL board in the UDRC-L electronics enclosure.
Reboot the output device (turn off / on) to continue.
</Cause>
<Cause>
Cause 5: On a Trendsetter with MPE, there may be an intermittent connection in the white wire
of 10-4567 / 10-3770 close to the TEE board. This is the wire that had a resistor removed when the
output device was upgraded to L-configuration.
Solution: Inspect the connection and service as necessary. See TS upgrade documentation for pictures / details.
</Cause>
<Cause>
Cause 6: The internal cable between the L-configuration electrical enclosure and the contacts for
the chemical filter has a problem.
Solution: Test for continuity between the chemical filter contact block center most pin and pin #17
on the female DB24 on the back of the cabinet. Then chemical filter contact block outer most pin and
pin #4 on the female DB25 on the back of the cabinet. If there is no continuity, remove the screen and
contact block in the bottom of the canister by removing the 3 M5 screws, vacuum line and disconnecting
the cables to the contact block. Test the contact block for continuity and then replace the necessary component.
-In the unlikely event that that there is a problem with the internal cable that runs between the canister
and the DB25 on the back of the cabinet, complete disassembly of the machine is necessary to replace it.
The most likely problem with this cable is the connector at the canister end. Close inspection of the
connector and its possible replacement without the complete R&R of the cable could save some time.
Before you disassemble the machine flip it over and remove the internal electrical enclosure where the
main power goes in. One end of the cable terminates at the board. Unplug the cable and test it again
for continuity. If you still have a problem with the cable it's time to replace it (10-4940). This
should take less than 2 hr. and you will need some silicone to seal the bell mouth to the canister.
Reboot the output device to continue.
