The Auto-Focus system uses a modulated visible red laser to sense the relative position of the target media. The light reflected off the media is measured in order to extract the focus information. The sensitivity of the receiving circuitry is set with the RCVRGAIN parameter.

| The 'FOC CAL RCVRGAIN' command searches for the RCVRGAIN setting required to achieve the target received signal strength. The optimal value is then displayed.

To save the results of this command the value must be manually set using the 'SET MED x RCVRGAIN <n>' command.
