During initialization, the media subsystem attempts to initialize the media index for the media parameters. This will initialize the entire media subsystem and verify all required resources. If any error occurs, the media subsystem is disabled and this error is returned for all monitor commands.

| Note that immediately after initialization, the actual error that caused the initialization failure ( as well as this error ) will be displayed on the diagnostic port.
