During initialization, the system monitor subsystem attempts to initialize the system monitor interrupt. This will initialize the entire system monitor subsystem and verify all required resources. If any error occurs, the system monitor subsystem is disabled and this error is returned for all monitor commands.

| Note that immediately after initialization, the actual error that caused the initialization failure ( as well as this error ) will be displayed on the diagnostic port.
