Diode currents cannot be set above this value, either by monitor command, during plotting, or by the calibration algorithms. One exception: every diode has a limit override switch, and if this switch is TRUE, the diode can be set above this current limit.
| This parameter is set to an appropriately safe level. The diodes are not designed to run at currents higher than the current limit.
| You may change this value to compensate for a head full of dying diodes. Realize that the head is dying and will soon need to be replaced.
| If a single diode is dying, use the limit override switch for that diode. Other diodes will remain protected by the current limit.
| Some calibration algorithms use the current limit as the "highest safe current" and set the current to this value. You do not want to raise the current limit unless absolutely necessary.

The diode limit is not in effect until the next change of diode state (for example, turning on a diode or changing its current). If any diodes are above the new limit, they will remain so until the diode change.
