This parameter dictates the number of samples that are to be logged in the buffer. This parameter is used by the firmware to create an appropriately sized buffer. Since most of the data collected takes up two words of data space, the buffer size allocated will be twice the value stored in maximumsize.

| The following parameters take up more than two words of buffer space:
|

- Beam Pointing current
- Focus laser calibration
- Focus receiver gain
|
|
| If some or all of these parameters are set up to be logged then the buffer will fill and stop logging before the maximumsize number of samples are collected
