| The transfer counter indicates the number of event points that have been acquired and stored in the transfer buffer. If the event logger cannot process the transfer buffer in a timely fashion, the transfer buffer may overflow causing transfer overruns. The transfer overruns indicates the number of event points that have been discarded and could not be stored in the transfer buffer.
