Thermal3 Command
(requires ENG access)
lvd linearity (high|low) (<offset>|all)

Variables offset Specifies the stroke correction amplifier offset from 0 to 115.

Description Verify the stroke linearity.

For the alpha LVDU and LVDL satellite boards, 116 DAC's provide the stroke correction high and low voltage for the light valve. For the beta LVDU and LVDL satellite boards, 114 DAC's provide the stroke correction high and low voltage for the light valve.

The stroke correction voltage is programmed to various values encompassing the entire range of the stroke correction voltage. The actual stroke correction voltage is readback using sense circuitry provided by the satellite board and a linear fit is calculated from the data points. The actual linear fit is compared to the expected linear fit and the results are displayed. The expected linear fit comprise hardcoded values dependent on the hardware version.

Note that the beta LVDU and LVDL satellite boards do not provide all of the stroke correction amplifiers. If the stroke correction amplifier does not exist, the diagnostic will be ignored for that stroke correction amplifier. The first set of beta LVDU and LVDL satellite boards does not provide stroke correction amplifiers #0 and #1. The second set of beta LVDU and LVDL satellite boards does not provide stroke correction amplifiers #0 and #115.

Note that the data points are displayed if verbose is enabled.

This command is not supported by head controller version 2.0 or greater.
