All remote satellite board I/O registers are periodically updated by the main controller at constant 10kHz rate. This rate is controlled by a dedicated FPGA 'event' timer. The timer is typically enabled during system initialization and never disabled. This monitor command is used to enable or disable the timer for diagnostic purposes only.
