Creo ServicePort Release Notes =============================== Build 17 - Oct. 15, 2003 - Initial Release Build 18 - Feb. 12, 2004 Updates: . Added Win95 support. Note: There is no way to determine if the Creo Service Port is already installed on the system, so it is not tested. . Changed install disk to disk assigned to %SYSTEMDRIVE% not InstallShield's WINDISK environment variable. Apparently, this was causing problems on 'Application Mode' Terminal Servers when logged in to the domain, which maps a home directory, for the user. Still to determine if this fixes the problem. . Aborted setup on fail to install Creo Service Port Service. In the last release, the setup continued to the "Finished" screen, which contained text that the install was successful. Because this is not the case, i.e. the install was not successful, I aborted the install on this problem. . Changed the "legacy" skin - the skin used in Build 17 did not look good on Win95 systems . Fixed output in install_creoserviceport.cmd script where it said "*** Creo ServicePort Install via the Service Shell Host Installation *** . Created common cleanup up function for both Win95 and non Win95 installs. . Updated CSP files from 1.571 to 0.1.579 Build 19 - Feb. 16, 2004 Updates: . Updated CSP files from 1.579 to 0.1.601 . Changed registry key for Win95 installs from "Run" to "RunServices" to automatically start Creo Service Port when the OS starts. Build 20 - Feb. 17, 2004 Updates: . Updated j2re1.4.1_01\serviceportdist.jar file as requested by Jacob Simpson. Build 21 - Feb. 19, 2004 Updates: . Updated to use WINSYSDIR as the component destination directory. This is in an effort to fix the problem when installing with Windows 2003 terminal server in "Application Mode". NOTE: Even if this does not fix the problem, this build should be used because there was a mismatch between the component destination directory and the setup.rul's destination directory in builds 18, 19 and 20. Build 22 - Mar. 2, 2004 Updates: . Updated CSP files from 1.601 to 0.1.617 Build 24 - Mar. 15, 2004 Updates: . Renamed the self-extracting zip file from "Creo Service Port.exe" to "CreoServicePort.exe". The spaces were causing a problem when distributing to users. . Added Windows Sockets 2 install for Windows 95. Build 25 - May 18, 2004 . The java install was being affected by the CLASSPATH environment variable. The "-cp ." added to the java install command overrides the environment variable. Build 36 - July 16, 2004 . Update to provide silent installs. . The installer now creates a log file in the directory. The silent install does not display any error messages The user can view the log file to see the results of the install (e.g CSP installed/started, failed because of disk space, etc). . Silent installs do not work on Window 95 boxes - "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." The error detail information mentions a "invalid page fault". I have sent a problem report to Installshield. ************************************************************************************************************ This problem only occured on my testbed. It did not occur on silent installs on two other windows 95 boxes. ************************************************************************************************************ Build 37 - Aug. 20, 2004 . Updated CSP files from 1.617 to 0.1.657 (note: CSP client removed from 0.1.657) . Added message to log for winsock2 win 95 installs. Build 39 - Aug. 20, 2004 . Updated CSP files from 1.657 to 0.1.658 to fix cpu usage problem. Build 40 - Dec. 14, 2004 . Updated CSP files from 0.1.658 to 0.2.4. Build 1.0.42 - Dec. 7, 2005 Major changes for non Windows 95 workstations: . Upgrade from Installshield 7.0 to Installshield 7.01 . Change Build Number to Product Version (major.minor.buildnumber) . Added functionality to update, repair, and remove CSP. . During an update or repair, the Creo Service Port service is stopped and the existing directory is backed up to :\Creo\ServicePort..
