Background

This procedure describes how to install a redundancy kit for a Brisque 6F1.

Requirements

6F1 Redundancy Kit, part number 605S20166—contains one power source and two fans

Procedure

1. Unpack the kit, and ensure that all necessary parts are included.
2. From the back of the power source, remove the yellow plastic part protecting the connectors.
3. Shut down the system.
4. Install the new hardware.

Note: If replacing the redundancy kit parts, a system shutdown is not required. After hot-swapping the parts, run the diagnostics to ensure that the system recognizes the replaced hardware.

Test

1. Restart the system.
   The new hardware is added to the configuration.
2. Verify that all green lights are illuminated, indicating that the hardware is installed correctly.
