Symptoms

When you use Prinergy Workshop's integrated imposition software to create and preview a Preps Ganging job, the crop marks appear to be correctly placed on outside corners only. However, the generated PJTF or JDF output shows crop marks on every page corner, some of which might overlap the image area.

Cause

A pre-release build of Preps and Preps Ganging software was integrated into the Prinergy 4.0.2.2e software. The released version of Preps 5.3.1 (build 481) does not have this problem.

Solution

You must use the correct build of Preps software to replace the crop marks in all templates that you created using the pre-release build. Follow these steps:

1. Install newer software using one of these options:
   • For an immediate solution, on the Macintosh^® client computer, install the Preps Pro 5.3.1 release build that is currently posted on the Kodak eCentral Internet portal.
   • Otherwise, upgrade the server software to Prinergy 4.0.2.3, which includes the correct build of Preps software.
2. In Prinergy Workshop, add this new version of Preps Ganging to the Configure Imposition Applications list.
3. Recreate or edit all affected templates to replace the crop marks.

Note: This problem is fixed in Prinergy 4.0.2.3, which includes the correct build of Preps software.
