In Prinergy Evo 1.0.6.0 during color management the error message: User-selected profiles are not licensed for the basic license level appeared. Prinergy Evo 1.0.6.0 Basic Color Management was configured with the wrong default ICC profile. This has been fixed. If your Prinergy Evo system is only licensed for Basic Color Management, you can only use the USWebCoatedSWOP ICC profile. Any other ICC profiles will generate the User-selected profiles are not licensed for the basic license level error. If you want to use another ICC profile, you should purchase an Advanced Color Management license.

If the Internet Configuration did not specify a valid browser, the Evo client would crash when the online help was accessed. This has been fixed.
Under some circumstances, the OutputImposition "Draw Trim and Bleed Marks" feature would incorrectly draw the trim & bleed marks (they would be offset down and to the left). This has been fixed.
This has been fixed.
This has been fixed.
When a PostScript file was submitted for a RefineToPDF process and the Color Mapping button was invoked, the spot colors would be converted to process, whether or not the Process Template setting was set to preserve the spot colors. This has been fixed.
When the Evo license was updated in a system directly connected to output devices (via Print Console), Evo would not recognize the plate types from Print Console. This has been fixed.
There were two related problems where the process name in the Process Viewer and the resulting PDF filename were corrupted. This has been fixed.
This has been fixed.
When RefineToPDF was performed on a PDF file with an upper case extension ("evo.PDF"), Prinergy Evo would replace that filename, instead of adding "new" to the filename. For example, if you were to RefineToPDF the file "evo.PDF", the resulting file would replace "evo.PDF" instead of creating a new file called "evo.new.PDF". This has been fixed.
This has been fixed.

The Reveal in Finder button should have been disabled if no selection was made after the dialog box was first opened. This has been fixed.
A new button (labeled "Network") has been added to the browser dialog. When clicked, this button will display the list of computers on the network and allow a particular computer share or printer to be selected.
After you edit a color in the Color Database Editor, apply the the changes by clicking the Apply button. However, if the changes are not desired, canceled the changes by clicking the Revert button.
The Data Retention dialog box can be invoked from the System menu.
The context-sensitive online help can be accessed by clicking on the question mark icon or using the F1 key.
Internal changes were made to the Prinergy Evo Administrator and Reporting Tools to facilitate translation into other languages.
Multiple processes can now be simultaneously active in the Printer JTP, which allows for process overlap to pre-queue the plate for the next job.
Whenever a license key is removed from Prinergy Evo, the license key is now saved into a file called "Jasper-RemovedKeys.txt" in Prinergy Evo's "config_data\System\Common" folder.
The ITP script is now contained in the "doc" folder in the "PgyEvoInstll" share as well as in the "ITP" folder in the "JobData" share.
For the Prinergy Evo beta program, a number of extra, unnecessary process templates were shipped. They have been removed, leaving only the final "out-of-the-box" process template configuration.
The Prinergy Evo icons and splash screens have been updated.
The graphic that indicates a cancelled process and the button used to cancel a process have been changed from a red X to a red circle with a slash. This does not change any Evo functions, just the appearance of the graphics.
This is required to provide support for some aftermarket fonts.
This is potentially a cause of the client disconnection problem on Mac OS 9.X. This enhancement is designed to prevent the client disconnection problem.
Multiple colors can now be selected, allowing for bulk deletes and bulk copy and paste operations. When multiple colors are selected, the color information panel is disabled and the color swatch is white.
You can now select multiple colors from one color library and drag and drop the colors to another color library.
When in the Process Submission, Color Mapping dialog box, spot colors from a file can be copied and then pasted into a user library in the Color Database Editor dialog box.
From the Window menu, select Process Viewer. You can open multiple versions of the Process Viewer window.
When a Virtual Printer is deleted, the Client will you to prompt you to confirm that you want to delete the virtual printer, or to cancel the deletion.
The Process Template Editor can now be launched using the CMD-T shortcut.
Changes to Prinergy Evo to allow it to detect and alert when conflicts arise due to Prinergy running at the same time as Prinergy Evo. Likely not an issue for most, but beneficial to Creo support personnel who have both products running on their computers.
Previously Prinergy Evo would categorize a file where the file content started with a "%!PS" as a PostScript file. In some cases, this was too restrictive as some PostScript files do not begin with the "%!PS". Prinergy Evo now categorizes anything with a "%!" as a PostScript file.
Changed Prinergy Evo to require that the server be stopped before any licenses can be added or removed.
This is a limitation of the SMB implementation in the Mac OS X operating system.
Copy a file from the Mac to the Windows share (to force a refresh).

Mac OS 9 requires that CarbonLib 1.6 be installed. If a version older than 1.6 is installed, an error is generated with instruction on how to upgrade to 1.6. The client will NOT run under anything less than CarbonLib 1.6.
(a) When the Treat as Black check box changed value, the color was not marked as "dirty" and was not saved
(b) When the user cleared the Default checkbox, the color was incorrectly marked as "dirty" and the user was prompted to save changes.
Restored keyboard accelerator functionality on the Windows client.
Removed various incorrect errors in the diagnostic logs generated by the Printer JTP when features had a valid license.
The Output PDF process would fail if grayscale color matching and grayscale rendering where specified in the Process Template. This has been fixed.
Conflicting status messages in appeared in Prinergy Evo Administrator. This has been fixed.
Minimize and maximize boxes were not visible in Internet Explorer when launching the Creo web site from the About box of the Prinergy Evo Administrator.
Prinergy Evo Administrator didn't always display the “M of N components active” message correctly.
Support for Unicode paths in imposition Job Tickets has been implemented.
When importing a Process Template, the default Process Template name would be the complete filename (including the extension). The default Process Template name is now the filename, less the extension.
Prinergy Evo will no longer accept a license key that has expired. Additionally you can now remove a license key without the dongle.
Macintosh clients would crash if a Template Palette had focus, but no item was selected and the delete key was pressed.
When the client is launched for the first time, after the connection to the server has completed, a special window is opened. This window contains six panes of text that the user can navigate between, using the Next and Previous buttons. The first pane is entitled Welcome and introduces Prinergy Evo. The next four panes are titled: Online help, Process Viewer, Template Palettes, and Hot Folders. Each explains the basics of operation for its respective subject, focusing on pre-configured functionality. The final pane is titled Links and lets the user access online help giving more details about the topics covered in the previous four panes. Each pane has an associated graphic or sequence of graphics. If a sequence of graphics is associated with a pane, after an initial delay, each graphic is displayed in a slide-show fashion. The Introduction window is only shown once for each user of the client. However, it can be opened manually by selecting Introduction from the Help menu.
Added the ability for the Windows client to have multiple Process Viewer windows open at the same time (create new Process Viewers by selecting the Windows, New Process Viewer menu).
Updated the client online help.
Enabled license checking for various features in the Printer JTP.
Creo advertisements have been added to the installation wizards and updates wizards.
Installation Test Plan files have been added to the DVD installation disk.
There is now a custom icon for the PPD file in the Prinergy Evo Macintosh disk image.
The CarbonLib 1.6 image in the Mac OS 9 disk image has been updated to a self mount image.
The Go button in the Process Confirmation dialog box is the default button.
Added a Cancel Process menu item to the Process Viewer.
The size, location and stacking order of windows in the Windows client are now persisted across restarts.
During an RefineToPDF operation, there is now the option to set all of the rich black objects in the input files to have the overprint characteristic. This feature is controlled in the Process Template dialog box, in the Overprint Conversion section. A rich black is a color whose black channel is set to a 100% tint. This affects a superset of the objects affected by the Overprint Black option. The Overprint Black option forces overprint with objects, with the Black color set to 100% tint and all other color channels set to 0% tint. So if the Overprint Rich Black option is enabled, the Overprint Black option is also enabled by default.
From the Prinergy Evo Start Menu, if the AppleTalk Font Downloader is started, this will provide an AppleTalk printer that can be used to download aftermarket, license-protected CID fonts.
The JTP Status dialog is now available on the Windows client. If you select the item from the System à JTP Status menu, you will get the JTP Status dialog which can be used to view JTP status, restart JTPs and add/remove JTPs from pools.
During an OutputPDF operation, the Process Template (in the Layout section) can now specify an offset for the image on the output media. This feature is identical to the functionality already available in the Output Imposition Process Template.
Prinergy Evo Administrator dialog box, Alerts tab now automatically selects the whole alert message on a click or double-click event.
Earlier versions of Prinergy Evo Server got into a bad state if you selected the Stop Now button when the Server wasn't ready. This is currently fixed.
Any Printer JTP using the Low Resolution Output to File option now is limited to only output 720 dpi or below. Any Printer JTP using the High Resolution to File or Direct Connection options continues to have no minimum or maximum dpi boundary.
The Process Item history can be viewed by selecting a particular process item (input PS/PDF/EPS/DCS/PJTF/JDF) and getting the history information on it. The algorithm for determining which history details to show was enhanced and therefore, should result in a richer set of history for each process item.
The missing image detector was modified to only be invoked if OPI was requested during the RefineToPDF operation. The original algorithm for detecting missing images would sometimes announce missing images even though the image was embedded in the incoming file. In general, most of these false identifications were related to improper page construction in the desktop publishing application. The OPI missing images feature was changed to reduce the number of false negatives.
Improvements to the processing mechanisms for OutputPDF and OutputImposition process templates to allow a single (large) output process to take advantage of multiple instances of JTPs has been implemented. Any large output process is now split into multiple tasks, allowing the tasks to be processed in parallel, if the system contains multiple Printer JTPs (with pooled services).
In Prinergy Evo version 1.0.4.2 the Prinergy Evo Client was unexpectedly disconnecting from the Server. Enhancements have been added that should resolve this issue. In the event the changes do not resolve the issue, additional diagnostic logging to capture what the exact cause of the disconnect was has also been added.
Any PDF files that are referenced by PJTF or JDF impositions must be located on the Prinergy Evo server.
The current JTP queuing mechanism does not allow for multiple processes to be queued to a JTP at the same time. This prevents process overlap which is required to pre-queue the next plate for the second process.
The Windows client is not feature complete at this time. Notable features absent are file submission, hot folder and virtual printer configuration, and the Color Database Editor dialog box. However, the Windows client does completely shows process status and progress, including the history details. The Windows Client is, therefore, useful to monitor process progress.
The Windows client can only be run on the Prinergy Evo server at this time.
The Prinergy Evo Color Management and Trapping JTPs cannot process separated PDF data.
Limitation of Apple's Mac OS X operating system SMB implementation.
There is no way to output specific pages using the OutputPDF processing type for a multi-page PDF file as input. For example, if you have a single PDF file with six pages, you cannot choose to only make a proof of page 4; you must proof all six pages.
Refine the multi-page PDF file and in the Refine to PDF process template dialog box, Normalize section, select the Split multi-page PDF files check box. This will give you a single PDF page in each file which can then be selectively submitted for output.
When Process or System history is displayed, it is a snapshot of the details at the time the history was requested. History events that occur after the snapshot are still recorded by the Prinergy Evo system, however, to view them, the history information needs to be re-opened.
When the external PostScript marks file, associated an imposition PJTF/JDF file, is converted to PDF using the Mac version of Acrobat® Distiller, the OutputImposition process will fail with an error related to font embedding. The workaround is to use the Prinergy Evo RefineToPDF process template to convert the marks PostScript or use a Windows version of Acrobat Distiller.
Attempting to locate a mounted volume using the Process Template Editor has two limitations:
When attempting to image TIFF files produced by Prinergy Evo, a problem was introduced in 1.0.4.3 that caused CS Xpose or Lotem Xpose to generate an error indicated a new license was required.
