Smart Review enables you to open a detailed, full-resolution preview of an element. It provides tools to view the element in different ways, annotate and mark up the element, and chat with others about the element. Anyone can view an element in Smart Review.
If you have used Synapse InSite before, you are likely already familiar with Smart Review's features. (For detailed information about Smart Review and its capabilities, see the Synapse InSite online help.) However, you should note the following differences in Smart Review when viewing elements, as opposed to viewing pages in a job:
You cannot approve elements or request corrections. (The Approve Page and Request Corrections buttons are not available.)
You cannot toggle separations on and off.
You cannot check the CMYK values for a particular area of the element. (The Color Density button is not available.)
You cannot toggle between reader spread mode and single page mode. (The Reader Spread Mode and Single Page Mode buttons are not available.)
When you open a page in Smart Review, the Pages tab (
) in the left
pane lists all of the other pages in the current job. You can then click
on a page name to open the page directly from within Smart Review. However,
when you open an element in Smart Review, the same tab lists only the
other elements that reside in the same
folder as the currently selected element. (Any elements that reside
within the same project or library, but in a different folder, are not
listed.) You can click on another element's name to open the element directly
from within Smart Review.
