Note: You can view and modify the attributes of an element only in a library, not in a project.
In a Web browser: Select the elements whose attributes you want to view and then from the Operations Palette, click Get Attributes.
In Synapse Desktop: Select the elements whose attributes you want to view and then select Actions > View Attributes, or click the View Attributes button.
The Attributes dialog box displays all of the selected elements' existing attributes.
The Customer and Site tabs include attributes that you can modify. The attributes that you see depend on what has been defined in the system's attribute templates, which are set up and maintained by your system administrator. When you modify an attribute on the Customer or Site tab, you can modify only its value (for example, 300 dpi), not its name (for example, Resolution). Also note that modifying an element's Resolution attribute does not change the actual resolution of the image.
The System tab includes attributes (file creation date, size, type, last accessed date, and last modified date) whose values are extracted by the operating system and are automatically populated. You cannot modify the values of the attributes on the System tab.
If you selected multiple elements, attribute values appear as <different> wherever the values vary between elements (for example, file size).
To modify the attributes on the Customer and Site tabs, click Edit.
Note that if you selected multiple elements and then edit an attribute value, the same value applies to all of the selected elements.
When you are finished modifying the attributes, click Update.
If you enter an invalid value, the attribute name turns red until you correct the error and click Update again.
