Description:

Use this to move the head stage to its home position. Once returning there, the position counter in the motor controller is automatically reset. The move home is done at MEDIUM speed.

If the head stage has for some reason run away, it can take a long time to find the home position. This is because it has run so far from the drum the home tab is always active and the stage will jog forward a little at a time or because the stage has gone very close to the drum and the leadscrew has progressed to a point much beyond the stage's limits (the stage will hit a mechanical stop, the leadscrew stop is much further though) and it has to move back a fair distance.
