ALE: Trailing edge clamp lock/unlock cylinder error, both sensors activated

Applies to:

  • Platesetter_3244
  • Trendsetter_400/800

Service Information:

This error is reported if the lock cylinder senors indicate both locked and unlocked at the same time, after an attempt was made to move to the locked position. A timeout of te_ulock_delay is allowed and the error is only reported if the sensors are enabled.

Operator Action:

Check that TEC magnetic clamps are not damaged (even slightly) in the region of keyholes, this may prevent the lock mushrooms from moving to the lock position.

Cause:

  • Damage or mis aligned TEC magnetic clamps.
  • Sensors, or sensor wiring, or sensor alignment.
  • TEC backbone is not going low enough (close enough to the drum). Check TEC backbone rod end adjustment procedure.
