Error Number: 15305

Error Message:

ALE: Unload cups rotated, can't move unload carriage

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto

Operator Action:

Select the RESUME button on the workstation dialog box. If this fails to correct the problem, check that nothing is obstructing the unload table traveller to prevent it from moving back into the un-rotated position. If everything looks normal, then Creo Service should be called.

Service Information:

This error is reported when the recorder needs to move the unload table stepper motor and the unload traveller is in the ROTATED position. The stepper motor will NOT move when the traveller is rotated (unless the unload traveller rotate sensor is disabled).

The unload table rotator sensors indicate that the rotator is NOT in the normal "un-rotated" position required for moving the stepper motor.

It may be useful to set the 'verbose alcmd' and 'verbose alconv' parameters to 1 in order to obtain further diagnostic information.

This error is most likely caused either by someone putting the unload cups in the ROTATED position using the diagnostic commands or by a problem with the sensors.

The sensor status may be checked by using the TABLE command. The sensor status should read TRUE if the sensors are activated.

Typing "ALE" will display the system air pressure.

Cause:

  • The rotator may be obstructed by something.
  • The rotator magnetic sensors may not be adjusted correctly.
  • The magnetic sensors may have been damaged.
  • The aldly ucr timeout value may be set too short.
  • The wiring to the air valve solenoid may be disconnected or damaged.
  • The wiring to the magnetic sensors may be disconnected or damaged.
  • The pneumatic speed controls may be mis-adjusted.
  • The pneumatic system may be damaged.
  • The air supply may be low or turned off.
  • If the rotator is functioning correctly but the sensors are not working, then the unload traveller rotate sensors may be temporarily masked off by setting al urs to 0. Masking off these sensors will get rid of the error message but will cause the machine to run significantly slower than it used to.
  • WARNING: Masking off sensors disables proper error checking!
