Error Number: 15333

Error Message:

ALE: STEP : axis 2 timed out while homing

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto

Operator Action:

First try selecting the RESUME button on the workstation dialog box a few times. If this does not make the problem go away, then make sure that the unload traveller is not stuck in the AWAY position. Try moving the traveller towards the HOME position by hand and select the RESUME button again. If the problem persists, then Creo Service should be called.

Service Information:

This error occurs when the stepper motor takes longer to trip the HOME sensor than the time specified by the altim cmd parameter.

The stepper is taking too long to trip the HOME sensor. The traveller may be obstructed, the stepper motor or amplifier may be damaged, the HOME sensor and associated wiring may be faulty, the timeout may be set too short, or the motor speed values may be incorrect.

The sensor status may be checked by using the TABLE command. The sensor status should read TRUE if the sensor is activated.

Cause:

  • The traveller is obstructed by something.
  • The traveller is already past the home sensor in the home direction.
  • Faulty stepper motor or drive amplifier.
  • Incorrect timeout value (altim cmd).
  • Medium speed parameters are set incorrectly (aldrv 2 mr).
  • Broken sensor wiring.
