Operator Action:

Remove the plate from the machine and select "PLATE CLEARED" button on the workstation dialog box. Call Creo Service.

Service Information:

Either a mechanical movement in the punch is not being performed properly, the punch parameters are not set properly, or the plate is not being pushed into the punch correctly.

Check for error messages on the punch display keypad.

Watch the process/punching sequence to see where the error occurs. Check for the plate sticking on the table, or being skewed by the traveler. Check that the correct punch configuration is being used.

It may be useful to set the 'verbose alconv' parameter to 1 in order to obtain further diagnostic information.

Cause:

• "plate still in punch" - the punch thinks the previous plate has passed, but there is still something covering the plate sensor (sensor on the processor side of the punch). Check that this sensor is uncovered.
• "problem moving punch inlay": the inlay is not moving side-to-side properly. Check the punch keypad display for messages.
• "problem moving punch stop": the side-stop is not moving properly. Check the punch keypad display for messages.
• "problem raising or lowering punch inlay": the inlay is not moving up or down properly. Check the punch keypad display for messages.
• "problem with punch plate sensor": check that the plate sensor (sensor on processor end of punch) is uncovered.
• "punch could not find plate edge": the punch was not able to side-register the plate. The plate could be too far off-center.
