Error Message:

ALE: STEP : axis 1 not initialized

Applies to:

• Trendsetter_400/800_Proofing

Operator Action:

This error should not occur during normal machine operation. If it does, first select the RESUME button from the workstation dialog box. If that does not correct it, select RESET TRENDSETTER from the workstation TRENDSETTER pull-down menu. If the problem persists, call Creo Service.

Service Information:

Type "vr init" or "ale init" at the diagnostic monitor prompt. If that does not correct the problem, check the TEE board and the SPI cable, and replace them if necessary.

Cause:

• The step axis controller is no longer initialized. This problem can be caused by a hardware fault, a power spike or a static discharge.
