Error Message:

ALE: STEP : axis 1 HOME limit switch is active

Operator Action:

First select the RESUME button from the workstation dialog box. If this does not correct the problem, then select RESET PLATESETTER RECORDER from the workstation SYSTEM pull-down menu. If the problem persists, call Creo Service.

Service Information:

If the procedure described in Operator Action does not correct the problem, then the stepper controller must be re-initialized. Do this either by typing "vr init" or "ale init" or, if that does not work, by resetting the recorder. Alert the proofer TTE if this error occurs.

Cause:

• This error occurs when the stepper-motor home switch becomes active before the stepper motor has finished moving. The error is likely a hardware problem, because the home limit is not used for proofing.
