Error Message:

ALE: STEP : axis 1 AWAY limit switch is active

Operator Action:

First select the RESUME button from the workstation dialog box. If this does not correct the problem, then select RESET TRENDSETTER from the workstation TRENDSETTER pull-down menu. If the problem persists, call Creo Service.

Service Information:

If the procedure described in Operator Action does not correct the problem, then the stepper controller must be re-initialized. Do this either by typing "vr init" or "ale init", or if that does not work, by resetting the recorder. Alert The Proofer TTE if this error occurs.

Cause:

• This error occurs when the stepper motor HOME switch becomes active before the stepper motor has finished moving. Likely a hardware problem, as the away limit is not used for the proofer.
