Error Number: 15363

Error Message:

ALE: STEP : axis 1 timed out while homing

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Proofing

Operator Action:

Select RESUME from the workstation dialog box. If that doesn't correct the problem, make sure that the vacuum roller is not obstructed and try again. If the problem persists, call Creo service.

Service Information:

This error occurs when the stepper motor takes longer to trigger the HOME sensor than the time specified by the "altim cmd" parameter. This happens if the vacuum roller is obstructed, if the stepper motor or amplifier is damaged, if the HOME sensor and associated wiring is faulty, if the "timeout" is set too short, if the gears or drive chain are damaged or loose, or if the motor speed values are incorrect.

The sensor status can be checked by using the TABLE command. The sensor status should read "true" if the sensor is activated.

Cause:

  • The vacuum roller is obstructed, or the vacuum roller hardware or electronics are faulty.
  • The vacuum roller is already past the home sensor in the home direction.
  • The stepper motor or drive amplifier is faulty.
  • The timeout value ("altim cmd") is incorrect.
  • The medium speed parameters ("aldrv 1 mr") are set incorrectly.
  • The sensor wiring is faulty.
  • The gears or chain are loose or broken.
