IMAGE: DAOM shutter appears to be stuck open or not installed

Service Information:

Since early 1996, all green heads have been manufactured with a shutter that shields the DAOM when not imaging. Each time a stroke or DAOM calibration is performed, the shutter is tested to ensure that it is closing. If it does not appear to be closing, this message is reported. Note that the firmware has no way of telling whether the shutter is installed and reports this message if it's not.

If the shutter is not closing properly, the head's life may be shortened. Consult with head integration.

Operator Action:

This error can be safely ignored for the short term, but it must be reported to Creo Service as soon as possible.

Cause:

• No DAOM shutter was installed on this head.
• The DAOM shutter is not closing.
