Error Number: 17021

Error Message:

HEAD: break detected, exposure head has reset

Applies to:

  • All

Service Information:

The exposure head to backplane (EH-BP) cable should be checked. The exposure head's digital board should also be checked (parameters stored in EEPROM must be restored if the board is swapped). Check that the board has +5V. If there does not seem to be any hardware problem, an exposure head firmware bug may have caused the crash.

Operator Action:

The Platesetter should be rebooted. Even if this clears the problem, Creo Service should be contacted.

Cause:

  • Exposure head reset with "head reset" command
  • Faulty EH-BP (exposure head to backplane) cable
  • Exposure head digital board faulty or not mounted correctly
  • Faulty head
  • Exposure head crashed or reset due to head firmware bug
