HEAD: Laser drive current limit

Service Information:

The output laser current is more than 5A lower than the setpoint commanded by the HC board. This could be caused by a current setpoint that is too high. The head will recover automatically if the current is lowered. This error will also be reported if there is a problem with the laser diode leads or contacts.

This error code applies to Thermal Head firmware version 1.34 and above.

Operator Action:

Try lowering laser power. Call service.

Cause:

• The current setpoint is too high. Could be problems with the laser diode leads or contacts.
