Error Number: 17735

Error Message:

HEAD: case temperature high alarm, <temperature> C

Applies to:

  • Thermal

Service Information:

Every thirty seconds, the thermal head firmware reads the case temperature and compares the reading to a threshhold.

For air-cooled thermal heads ( either head NVS parameter casehigh or caselow is zero; but not both ), the threshhold is hardcoded to 50 degrees C. If the threshhold has been exceeded, the thermal head is shutdown and any plot in progress is aborted.

For water-cooled thermal heads ( neither head NVS parameter casehigh or caselow is zero ), the threshhold is hardcoded to 40 degrees C. If the threshhold has been exceeded, the thermal head is shutdown and any plot in progress is aborted.

This error code applies to Thermal Head firmware version 1.30 and above.

Operator Action:

Call service.

Cause:

  • Verify the temperature and humidity of the environment local to the machine.
  • Check the thermal head cooling ( thermal heads are air-cooled or water-cooled ). Is the water-cooling functioning?
