Service Information:

The recorder should be reset. If this does not help, the laser serial cable should be replaced. Since the only other option is to replace the laser, the MPE should be replaced first. If this doesn't help, this error is likely due to a faulty laser controller. Note that the controller and the laser are matched and therefore the controller cannot be replaced without replacing the laser.

Operator Action:

Reboot the Platesetter. Contact Creo Service if rebooting does not help.

Cause:

• Confused laser controller
• Faulty laser serial cable.
• Faulty MPE
• Faulty laser controller.
