NVS Parameter: hdm bmcurve

Long Name:

beam_curvature

Applies to:

  • Thermal

  • Description:

Specifies a quadratic target profile for the automatic beam balancing algorithm, i.e., the stroke cal command.

When bmcurve is non-zero, the HC board creates a quadratic relationship between ON power and the pixel number. A positive bmcurve value causes a maximum ON power in the middle of the swath. A negative value sets the minimum ON power in the middle of the swath.

The value of bmcurve is the height of the peak expressed as a percentage of the maximum value in the swath.

Staccato is implemented using a wide and narrow mode for each media type. The parameters bmcurve and bmslope are for wide mode while the parameters bmcurven and bmslopen are for narrow mode.
