NVS Parameter: hdm bmslope

Long Name:

beam_slope

Applies to:

  • Thermal

  • Description:

Specifies a sloping target profile for the beam balancing algorithm.

The bmslope parameter gives in a linear tilt to the beam. The HC board adjusts the stroke values until the ON power varies linearly with the pixel number from one end of the swath to the other.

The value of bmslope is the difference in ON power at the two edges of the swath, expressed as a percentage of the maximum ON power. A positive value of bmslope corresponds to the right side of the swath lower than the left.

Staccato is implemented using a wide and narrow mode for each media type. The parameters bmcurve and bmslope are for wide mode while the parameters bmcurven and bmslopen are for narrow mode.
