This parameter is used to scale the output of the optical distance sensor into units of 1/3 micron. The calibration depends on the nature of the reflecting surface. The calibration is set for diffusely reflecting surfaces and is off by about 30% on specularly reflecting surfaces such as film.

The scaling of the error signal affects the overal gain of the focus servo in conjunction with the parameter "head lkp".

Automatically set by the "focus cal" and "focus cal error" commands.
