Specifies the number of contiguous pixels used for the image data.
The number must be a multiple of eight.
The swidth parameter corresponds to the pps (pixels_per_stroke) parameter of the
mode NVS module. The swidth and pps parameters must have the same value. The MPE
mode parameter is automatically updated when the head comes on line.
Staccato is implemented using a wide and narrow mode for each media type. The
parameters swidth and soffset are for wide mode while the parameters swidthn
and soffsetn are for narrow mode.
